What is the Pediatric Practice?
A child doesn’t belong in the hospital. Fortunately, that’s often not necessary.
That’s why we offer medical care provided by pediatricians for children ages 0 to 18, close to home and outside the hospital. You won’t find white coats here—just a calm and warm environment. We take our time, listen carefully, and give your child the attention they need.

A child does not belong in a hospital. And fortunately, that is not necessary in most cases.
A very kind and caring doctor for our son. Dr. Silva is easy to reach, and I can ask her all my questions. We received excellent care for our son, and she was a pleasure to deal with. It’s also nice that we don’t have to go to the hospital. They took plenty of time for us, and we really felt heard.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Bouma. She explained everything clearly, everything was done in consultation with me, and she really took her time to work with me to find the best solution. What a wonderful doctor! I don't remember the doctor's name, but he was great! I believe he's the only male doctor at the practice. He took his time, explained everything to me, was very attentive to my daughter, and was just a very nice person overall! I almost never come across doctors like this in the Netherlands. I don’t know if the treatment will help my baby, so I can’t comment on that. However, we have a follow-up appointment, so hopefully we can figure out how to proceed then. At least, we’re being taken seriously!

Shortly after the referral, we were contacted that same week to schedule an appointment. This initial consultation took place that very same week. During the consultation, they took the time and made the space not only to assess our son’s physical condition, but also to allow me to share my own feelings as a mother regarding the situation. After the intake, a plan was drawn up outlining how we would proceed, which allowed us to shape the treatment together. There were regular check-ins; the practice was always easy to reach by phone or email, and communication between the healthcare provider and the patient’s parent was direct. I always felt seen and heard as a parent—and as a person. The practice had a beautiful, spacious layout with plenty of natural light.

Excellent, professional care with a personal touch. We received outstanding care for our son, who has silent reflux. The pediatrician really listens to what’s important to you and works with you to find the best care for your child. The direct lines of communication with the hospitals are very helpful. After a referral from our family doctor, we were able to get an appointment very quickly (within a week). This would have taken months through the regular hospital system. The pediatrician is very dedicated, child-centered, and knowledgeable. She’s very pleasant to be around and gets along well with our daughter. She has a strong network of other medical and paramedical colleagues, which allows her to take action quickly. I would definitely recommend her.

Wow, what a great and kind doctor. We were able to see her with our 7-month-old son within a day. After searching for months, we were finally able to see a doctor. Which complaints do we treat at the outpatient clinic?
De Kinderartsenpraktijk employs experienced pediatricians. They help children with a wide variety of health issues. To make an appointment with a pediatrician, you’ll need a referral letter, for example from your family doctor or school nurse.
The Pediatric Practice is an outpatient clinic. We do not offer day treatment or emergency care. Therefore, we cannot provide care in emergency situations.
