Pediatric care in a quiet, friendly setting outside the hospital

We provide outpatient care.
This means your child will be given a scheduled appointment. We treat common symptoms, such as stomachaches, headaches, bowel and bladder problems, and issues affecting infants.
For children with these symptoms, a hospital visit is usually not necessary.

Targeted Care for Your Child

Care that's close by and familiar

We work outside the hospital, in a child-friendly environment. After all, a child doesn’t always need to be in the hospital, but they do need a pediatrician who observes and listens carefully.

More time & attention

Every child is assigned a dedicated pediatrician who takes more time during each visit. This allows us to thoroughly assess the child’s needs—including lifestyle factors. Is your child having a hard time? We’re easy to reach for children and their caregivers.

A dedicated pediatrician with extra time

We work closely with children, their caregivers, family doctors, and other healthcare providers. This allows us to coordinate effectively and ensure that our approach is tailored to the child’s actual needs.

Short waiting times

With a referral from your family doctor or pediatrician, we can usually schedule an appointment within a week.

The goal of De Kinderartsenpraktijk is to provide your child with the best care in an environment that is as stress-free as possible.
That’s why our motto is: “Better close to home than at the hospital.”

In the Netherlands, almost all pediatricians work in hospitals. But for many common health issues, that’s not necessary at all.
At De Kinderartsenpraktijk, you get the knowledge and experience of a pediatrician, but outside the hospital. In a cozy and calm atmosphere, without white coats, and right in your neighborhood. We’re here for all children ages 0 to 18 and for their parents or caregivers.

If a referral to another medical specialist or to the hospital is necessary after all, we’ll take care of it right away. We’ll make sure your child gets to the right place quickly.

Our Mission & Vision

Mission

As neighborhood pediatricians, we provide specialized care to children in their own communities.
We pay special attention to children growing up in vulnerable situations. We work outside the hospital, in a familiar and child-friendly setting, close to home.

At our practice, every child has a dedicated pediatrician who takes more time with them. This allows us to effectively combine medical expertise with attention to lifestyle, the family, and everything else that’s important to the child.

We are easily accessible to children, parents, and other care providers. This makes communication pleasant and collaboration straightforward.

Because we know our partners in the neighborhood personally, we can respond quickly and work well together. This ensures that every child receives care tailored to his or her situation, in the right setting. In this way, we help reduce health disparities.

Vision

We believe that every child deserves equal opportunities for a healthy future.
It doesn’t matter where a child lives or the circumstances in which they grow up.

We are working toward a healthcare system in which pediatricians are closely connected to the children.
We want healthcare to be accessible, appropriate, and as preventive as possible. We do this in collaboration with families and local professionals. In this way, we are helping to build a healthier generation and a healthcare system that is inclusive and ready for the future.

Pediatric care at : a calm and friendly environment

Regular pediatrician

Every child has a regular pediatrician. This allows us to get to know you and your child well and better respond to your needs.

More time for appointments

We set aside twice as much time for your child. This allows us to listen carefully and truly understand what’s needed. We also take lifestyle factors into account, as they often play an important role in your child’s health.

Follow-up contact

Is your child not feeling well, or do you have any questions? Our pediatricians are easily accessible to answer all your questions.

Short waiting times

With a referral from your primary care physician or pediatrician, we can usually schedule an appointment within a week. We’ll schedule that appointment together with you.

Deciding Together

We take the time to discuss your questions and clearly explain the available options. You know your child best, and together we’ll choose the treatment that best suits your situation.

Quality of Care - The Pediatric Practice

Quality of Care

Just as in hospitals, we are required to comply with all laws and regulations governing healthcare. We take this very seriously and therefore undergo audits by independent organizations.

Quality

Our pediatricians are BIG-registered, and our practices are inspected by the professional association of pediatricians in the Netherlands, the Dutch Association for Pediatrics (NVK). We were recently accredited with the “Care and Well-being” quality seal.

We take your privacy very seriously. Would you like to know how we do that? Then take a look at Our Privacy Policy.
